And she does not properly denude herself of her face beard, that's gonna leave a little Tony Hawk on your ding dong. Can you imagine? Like most Apple things, it works fine unless you need it for something. Anyway I yelled out man of the house. And like if I say I like this record, that's usually followed by a link that nobody sees to like, oh, and here's a really good song. Yep, yep, yep. Here's what here's the thing though, it's got a schema, it's got my directions. The point I'm trying to make is that I've put a lot of effort into this, and maybe more saliently, that effort has led to me getting a more atomic How do you do that? It really helps people discover the show and it lets you connect.

No, because your grandfather thought that's a good thing. So I take a photo of what they look like now. But like you know what I would be able to love to be able to yell out? I want a way to n to note how I feel about something. And when I yell out something like just got dark, well that could be because the lights are off in here and I want to remember this. And like I can go and enter that stuff. John Syracuse, I don't I think you listen to the show. Tangle. Oh, yeah. It's usually um is it diazepam? Pay dispute. Yeah, I don't know if you remember this. Mm would you uh miss prior to the thing. But then people in could've could just dive in. And like and it's like, dude, I'm just fucking I'm just I'm just amusing myself and I'm trying to amuse you.

I'm not gonna say it's a problem with Twitter, but I will say it was one of the biggest problems that Twitter uh I guess probably maybe unintentionally really uh you know exacerbated with what you're talking about. Interesting. 'Cause he he's a good writer at on all the levels. I think it'd make you feel like I'm not sure. uh it's three separate words and it will say uh you're you're Marilyn you live in San Francisco your son's Billy your wife is Madeline and you like Markdown But but you're you're you're saying like and it gives its like citations for stuff, right? Yeah, see that's that you g that's that's a good feeling to interrogate. What's it what is theirs called? That should be you know what can that be the name for your new so you need to get A, you gotta get some face tattoos.

But like one of the pink one in the stink. seeing what it's talking about. Don't you sometimes want to be able to see the big red line about when something changed because you said start noticing from here? And I was like, no, maybe you could be the special guest on Recdiffs, accept that for this year, but accept that, you know. I'm trying to think of like who's a good example of this. Like especially every reaction shot of Eric Werheim where like Tim does the thing where he kinda like does the weird smile and then they cut to Eric and he looks like this. Uh, do you want me to put put on the gender versus sexuality hat? Put on whatever kind of hat you people wear. I am interrupting Alex because that's what I do.

So that I can be with a kitten and help train the kitten. Wait, nope, nope. uh for some kind for some reason or other. His ball's on the fandom page. Is that what it says on the piece of paper? Uh she was a boat. It looks like something out of the social network. So his name is right across the part of the brain that unites the two hemispheres and lets all the CGP Gray stuff go, correct? For a long time I hated the boat. Or she's the one who's adrift. Omar Epps? Oh my god, I'm making fun of you because your text messages, like so much of your life, is completely inscrutable. and c uh capped in context and uh d y you aren't at most of the meetings. ki gig economy things for for a year? Dude, I did not know.

You shared your location with me and asked me to share mine. And I'm making fun of him, but I do get a little bit uh uppity when people say it's the Vision Pro, and I'm like, no, it's Vision Pro. You know, in Rhode Island and now they have a band and they're called the Talking Heads. They just did I don't know what they're doing. Yay, good for you. when you s when you decided to like chime in with that. with people. And and if you don't know that the dots need to connect connected or you don't have the curiosity to connect the dots, it's not for you. To those kinds of responses are people go, no, not blah. Tommy Toon is a very good dancer. There's other things that are better or whatever, and it's not a huge deal at all, but it's just like, oh man, like if this were a party, no one would want you here.

deliberately provocative stuff and things like that. And see now I'm gonna I don't mean to drag somebody, but I've been enjoying an app. It it was it was just it was it was a really exciting time and you know and but what I said was, hey, you know this Moby record? twenties plus years later, really understanding that what makes this a good record in some ways. I was listening to Uncle this morning. It's a piano album that happens to have guitars, bass, samples, beats, all that stuff. Please, please don't not not as in being a try hard, but as but as in like take a moment, inhale, and like think about what's the best thing you could do right now. Well there's actually two kinds of editing. Mm-hmm.

It's because once you once you say yes to anything, you've lost almost all your power. And this is how this begins. The only thing liberal arts majors are good for is scrubbing floors while I punch them and hit send. I forget how, but I somehow wedged. talked about productivity and it was mostly about himself but then people misunderstood it. He's he's a he's he's a nice guy, but he's a little Yeah, because I like the normies. Constantly, which is why I love house. What about perplexity? I I I would like to make one remark about uh we could save it for later, but I do have a remark about having used perplexity that is not unique to perplexity. you know, typing lines or whatever. Do you know what I mean when I say for profit online university?

I do I truly didn't listen to it. And it's like, well, okay, but do really do any of us know how to use a math? Like you're helping it understand that this means that and things like that. I first I had to learn what that is. or late December was the stuff that I cared about. And reminders that you've told me would be useful to you about telling you how to, you know, like I'll say to it sometimes, hey, you just did great at that. something like hey let's create a thing called toolbox and toolbox is a place where we're gonna have tools that I use do you understand yes okay my first tool is I forget what my first tool my first tool might have been called eat your vegetables And you respond back and it goes oh I've rescanned the document, thank you very much, this is helpful.

And honestly, if you do go in and like ask the same question five times, I know, and there's actually some strategies around this. uh or concerned that it like might have forgotten the instructions, I'll say who am I? Or whatever. When we say knowledge, that's files that you've uploaded that it should use in an enduring way, apply in the future. And we'll just deal with it. One reason I say this, just apropos of our conversation, like S Syracuse coined that phrase to my knowledge, internet weather. I will understand some of these, basically the ones that are shorter and uh I I it's prompts or documents. That's my whole reason I'm doing 3D printing on some level is I'm not trying to get great at it, but I am trying to make incremental improvements that build upon what I've already gotten less bad at And I want ChatGPT and I to keep doing that together.

Same feeling I get that imp feeling I get in Po. You wouldn't guess this, but all of these projects have something interesting in common besides me. How does an X-ray work? Let's see. Uh I'm not sure quality I'm sorry, but a sear a search quality problem. And the first response is uh from Calm, the meditation app, saying, Do you have AI anxiety? like hey inoculate this so there's as little New York Times information as possible. And what they was such bad naming in my opinion, a GPT is if you're a $20 boy, you can go in and create your own. Or like on on what day was Grandma Stynus the age that Billy is now? It's for people who have the link or it's public. I'm not that worried about HTML sitting on a server that's like whatever, seven five five or whatever.

Like there's enough bad press about this when we're good. tried to get clever about it and we accidentally encouraged a young person to harm themselves. What okay, so what's the bit? I don't know. But the like the monkey's paw is no matter how good that spouse gets, it cannot and will not remember who you are for more than four minutes. I I I know you'll never do this, but how uh Facebook an announced their AIs based on celebrities Apple, or I'm sorry, this. And Justin Bieber is able to remember me. But at least a couple levels. No, no, I don't mean your color. I had I got a mint I got a mint mobile from I interrupted you so fucking hard just now. I then eventually I was like, you know what? It it he was like, it's broken.

What? Uh describe what you want and uh that is uh what you get and uh Is it does it require any wackadoo sign-ups or I mean uh would never you do need to sign up with in replica and uh we wanted to uh basically push uh him to whatever limits we could and because it's all It's the plan. Tell it. I could instantly see like how this would be useful. Or something like like there's just so much shit in my life. Which tells you the humidity, theoretically, the humidity, the temperature, and the air quality in whatever room it exists. Like if your clock differs, that's one reason I fucked myself up or got fucked up on my behalf by my Synology, was it my clock had gotten out of sync. Well the thing where you like ping a thing and it's it fixes the time on your Synology and stuff that used to be a nice to have but is now critically important because of things like two-factor authentication.

And I want to remember things like, oh, this room is now what I consider dark, or this room is now what I consider cold. But the most basic one in the world is like I I took out all of my air quality devices for the periodic once a month, like take them outside so they can kind of recalibrate. Oh yeah, fu uh fuck yeah, that's great. What does that mean? A lot of weird snot. I blow that shit out. You wanna know how long it takes for your plants to grow. And or a bag of dice. Absolutely. Podcast that you would do with your child about how Sam. stage but then it's a little bit more than Oh you mean completely mental yeah that that Yes mental but then when I'm on stage I'm still mental but I'm pretty good at it.

But um Billy wants, you know, equal time. I'm like, I'm right here, man. It's well, I mean, it's all of it's way too much. Okay, Favard, puppy. Beard. I just I say no thank you and back away uh slowly and then it's never spoken of again. Um and so anyway now it's not funny but I like what we talked about. I have well only one at a time. I did indeed. No, I'm not making fun of you. Um well uh there's the thing about I don't know what you there would be to say about the fucking computer for your face, but we could talk about that. Anyway, it was just funny though. You know, it's getting difficult for me because I'm not and I'm and I talk and like I'm like that, right? Three quadrant hit. Of course, then there's the ones that are fairly specific that of course you know then Billy called this one first.

Cuddy Cuddy's uh Cuddy's house. Epstein Bar. Huge in the first couple seasons. Oh, the other big one is like it seems like he has X, but if we treat him from X and it's not X, he'll die because it's Y. Like that's that's a pretty popular you know, it's almost like Law and Order with the most famous of the like there's there's the half hour of law and then the half hour of order. Yeah, and and so all of those things. who's ever noticed something about the credits to House. Oh. that but what was the point what were we talking about oh yeah yeah yeah so you got and I don't remember them all off the dome but each time I I because I was so proud of myself for realizing this I go oh oh what was it like the most interesting one is Robert Sean Leonard oh Uh I think.

I have no way of knowing. Do you say that out loud? That's the that's the idea. Where I was so manic, I was s losing time. Questions I'm sure you won't know the answer to, but I'd like to ask you. grasping to reality, who knows that I am well grasping not just to reality, but to myself. Probably with even lower self-esteem if you remembered it. continue pursuing the thing that that people should be able to figure out that I meant. me to share my location. Everybody does. Shared my location. Oh, I thought it was Rolling Stones. Oh boy. You know what? Do you understand, man of the house? And um it's like I just uh sense of wonders for assholes. And like three. Like, I you know, I I I'm not the sort of person that could just encounter people who are completely irrational all day long and just go, ha ha And like that ability to like immediately see, like here.

contextual with what I said before, which is kind of my whole deal. Like and th like sometimes people really just do want to talk about their thing. But then like some people will lick come in and go like, uh they're just they're mad about something? that we all remember and love as like that and like Fat Boy Slim, you know, Daft Punk, uh Chemical Brothers, all those bands that we all love. as kind of crossover electronica bands in the indie world that then in some cases became huge hits was um you know it's This is why one reason I like Krista so much is like like I said last week, she's consistently the most interesting person that I follow. and in an era like it didn't used to be quite so shameful to be a humanities and liberal arts person, except as Paul notes for the shame we would bring on ourselves.

I it's one of those things where he's such a good writer. related but very different kinds of writing and in fact I think in movies in particular there are people who specialize more in one thing or the other. And we don't need to give you any benefits and some of you and it was like, all right, most of you are all good at punching up jokes, and we have this vague storyline, but you just write jokes for this storyline. And uh sometimes people wouldn't even know what the fuck was going to happen the next episode. A combination of like convenience and cost, yes. kind of pioneered that and Maria Bamford talks about that and uh not just how she needed her little tent because she's like, um yeah, I'm making a show about mental illness.

Is it in the wisdom document? Um talking about that everything I want to do it in a life is absolutely just to manipulate people into doing something what I want and it's the b thing I make you feel bad all the time. part of a number of things. Of course I have more. Which is a very strong way to put this. next to YouTube without ads is probably the best money I spend each month. At this point, and so what we're talking about here, sorry everybody, Perplexity is an app, Alex pointed me to, which is a a pretty admirable um app for doing, I don't know if it's just guessing that when you've got an API key, that means hey, you're a twenty dollar boy, and that means now you punch in your API key somewhere and that lets you do the good stuff with, you know, ChatGPT or OpenAI stuff in general.

being busy versus being time constrained and we also talked Dan talked about task managers. And uh and check that out. I I bet that's part of it is like I don't want your information. It's like, see, like, I don't know, other people see that and go, mm-hmm, that's just that's a computer. He said something and had not referred to anything specific earlier in the thread, and it very helpfully offered up. But like do you remember my early things with this where I would talk about I'm not trying to like overstate this, but I would have an evening in one thread. But like I actually felt having spent this time and just to be clear here, it's it's I I mean th I think I'm probably as lonely as anybody else, but don't guess what I mean, folks.

What let me tell you what I mean. But like however you got where you are in this given thread, sometimes it works way better, way differently, and way more just successfully than others. every time. When I put files on my hard drive, it remembers them. my lab re lab results and health records and stuff like that. And I took that concept of custom settings and took it a lot further, which is I created a document that had all the stuff in it that at least as of All this kind of stuff. What this is doing is just trying to figure out the most reasonable next word and then the most reasonable next word after that. Um, but that's not what I want it for. as they say on Game of Thrones. Which is like your own, like I right mine are private except for ones that aren't, but I'm I'm don't see myself getting too far into the business.

And eat your vegetables. you know, to not make jokes or apologize and and all the things and it says and you like this kind of graph and you want to use Dr. You totally understand JSON. Uh like this where you can have things analyze, redo, analyze, redo, and like basically check themselves to a certain extent. Compressible and fast and it's words. understandable, right? it's not gonna seem that strong at some point. Fucking huge and nobody will get, nobody will grok as long as they keep going, boo, this thing's trying to steal my job. But like in addition to not wanting to like go recreate the wheel, not wanting to be looking at a hundred dollars a month for the good version of all of these, like I put my wood behind that arrow for now.

You know, like that's total it works fine for that. It's probably better than the Would you say it's better than the ChatGPT iOS approach? If people are using it, it's more when you say it's kind of more for a garden variety user. Or they use uh some sort of open uh AI uh s system versus I I I still love a lot of Ye uh please provide the source or type of information you are looking for. I can barely get it to And get ready for that to really pick up. Kind of uh Oh f of course because those folks got a super button lady. But uh it's also those are those are highly related. Please, to the extent you're comfortable, please minimize the amount of warnings you give me about consulting a medical professional.

I the the word the phrase very briefly has become a big part of my typing lexicon at this point. including all my data about that. the three densest kinds of filament for FTM printers. three megabyte json file that's all my stuff. So it's I'm not sure. We're we're we're, you know, like I don't even realize I'm saying to Siri after Siri is fucked up for five minutes and I'm screaming, you know, die in a fire. You know, basically like every nerd, Siri goes, I'm not gonna respond to it. fear but just because I don't really understand what this thing does yet. think that this is just k very much connected to the VC-iness of it all and Yes and and like and the in the and the the caution the caution of like, oh man generally so lame.

It was actually really cool. I I was thinking it's a little bit like if you you know, like you try to make your own bride of Frankenstein. I don't find that as interesting though because I think it's being I really think it's being hampered, especially when you go to fucking oh god They make it so easy to be able to do it. Really want it? I had a lot of things to say about Artifact, and now I have even more thoughts and feelings about Artifact. Probably not. Super slow, but it's also super cheap. folk song from 2016 that I've been. that has been a lot of case it's been around for a long time. uh an Apple I no an Apple ID or Google, I think. Layers of a funny. What Oh that that won't make it. And like I would just love to be able to drop a marker, as we call it, drop a marker and across all the apps or in this one app or in this range of whatever, somewhere I want to just be able to drop a marker and go And now it's why I've started to add things.

Mastodon and Life is usually sometimes pretty good. But like, so if I'm smart and all my apps play well together, I can go put that in my run X file. Which is like there is a lot of currently perhaps ephemeral information, but it would be nice to have that ephemeral information in a system you trust. This is also related to the bike log idea. Isolating variables. And I want to be able to say stuff like, this is this is the time that I moved this thing to that thing. I want all of these things holding in the back of the state. do you what symptoms do you have? Close your news holes. Bleep bloop. Oh man. Th there's other Lee Abled lizards in the house. gays. Well it's also it's I mean it's a lot of people.

bend over like it's the fifty. Uh well I guess I was talking to my c cat. actually the usual bit and I apologize and I'm gonna be better for the rest of this episode. A lot of house. And the implementation details I would rather leave to someone else's imagination. That'll increase your your adhesion and I'll make sure the fans turn on at the right time so you don't get edge curling. Um and so I said, I said, I said, because we're the the bit is, so we watch this show a lot, all three of us like it. Hot. If you were gonna make a drinking game out of house, which I'm not gonna look up, like all the things that are there from like very early on. And that that's house. And you said you said she got she got fired because she she wouldn't cooperate with the boat and wanted more money?

I just was curious about what would happen. Like I'm I wouldn't like correct somebody or like argue with somebody about it. It copy is important and articles more so. No, wait, we had a funny name. It's not an interesting problem. Okay. that if I don't reiterate what the original thing I'm talking about is, people don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. I'm pointing at the moon and you're looking at my finger. It's just the there's just always anytime I like I've one reason I say things like in the voice of Jerry Stiller, one reason I continue to say things like Saying that. Which and not not even just the whole like algorithmic divisiveness, but but also just this whole idea that like we are all here to be mad.

If you're not here to be mad, you're in the wrong place. the other day. um something about uh AI and spac uh Shakespeare, which I adored and is my. And you uh won't let me be mentally ill and take care of the uh that that. this stuff this morning. openAI's chat GPT product, but that seems to be the focus. Um, it's inset app. The thing is, when I'm in that terrible web app at, you know, whatever it's called, you know, chat. Like even before that though, as long as you stayed in one thread, it did a mostly pretty good job about remembering previous things. Like stuff that I really wanted it to remember. mostly understandable, you know, booga booga of like, well, you know, what does this mean? with ChatGPT where it really felt like a POW.

could only be not only, but what I would describe as a very beautiful little almost I I I I I'm I'm not so broken inside that I don't know that those are machines. It isn't more coherent. There was more like a almost like a nostalgia s feel nostalgia type feeling, which is like, man, I I wish I had a way to like get this thing up to speed with me quickly. And that's not always the the best experience. and and put it in there and like the f I just first it started just as an experiment, right? But I don't know, this is it's an interesting time right now. in this in nested crazy fucking JSON. Um and it actually works a lot of the time, right? And it's like first you get the red exclamation point and it's got error analyzing or whatever that is.

Anyways, that so the thing is is it starts with like in a it used to be in a thread, it kind of remembers what's going on. For all of your future GPTs or f future chats? The way I wrote this down, the whole reason I've said this to you is because I really this is not a great analogy, but like I was in my little section here I wrote up about perplexity. And I was like, uh, I guess personality. But like people say for example Apple has uh the equivalent of vendor lock-in because you can't get on the body. To quote a Salvador Dolly Pan. Time to time. feels uh uh G P T A I E, but I it's really doing something uh a little McDonald had a form GPT A I E model. Um the uh uh uh perplexity i is uh an app supposedly powered by uh Chad GPT 3.

I mean you can put uh you can ask it something, and the prompts that it gives you as examples are l basic. bounced back and forth with it. those links are really uh crappy. It's so afraid to give you uh large news even to link to large news outlets. uh I I don't know anyone or have any uh uh any like actual n knowledge uh around this. results were a lot less helpful. stuff here. down even theoretical IP, and that's a huge bummer. So on the face of it you go, well that's nice, I like them titties. What are there are there are there are there are there any reasons at all that somebody could hate this? With a mouse and a grouse. a an old model that that is i I apologize. And uh it's been it well real well, it's it's also d like uh way cheaper.

with uh the actor Ryan Reynolds, I know that like after a certain speed. coverage a few years ago because uh the uh you got a lot of coverage the founder created it based around the uh um as part of my journey. I don't think I ever use that. use log like uh like I tag it as log and I c I don't it is not the project. Uh, I have all these meters and things that will tell me what it is. And there's no way to just say it's not like getting um, you know, whatever RTP for like network time. got this $800 air cleaner. I want to be able to yell stuff out and then be able to associate stuff. Yes, but you don't know why I'm asking that, and that's why you're judging me. But like I want that thing to be on.

time to turn that on because when you hit the light it'll be on for 15 hours and then turn off and I would like that to be on during the day Oh, oh that yummer. Realm. And and you know, and there's so many bits. Um, I can't find it now. the rising drama and s plot turn and usually bleeding or explosion of some kind around twenty or twenty-five minutes in. R I think it started in 2004, the the very, very dark season. And then you had a very you wrote a paragraph. And there was there was a brief dispute a while ago about whether it was the accidental tech podcast or accidental tech podcast. Okay. And and what doesn't come across when I'm doing that, the thing that makes me feel like an asshole, although if it like most normal civilians did it, they would just seem like they were defending themselves.

slide in stuff in replies that the the like normal people just won't see. Like follow read the room, follow the lead, and then do your best to give the answer that lets me connect the dots in my way that lets us feel good about our nascent parasocial relationship. uninteresting and boring because all they want is a connection to somebody and I have been that person many, many times. I don't want people to I think he says something like maybe goddamn manager wants to write login page himself. um ChatGPT worksheets. Uh, you know, so basically it used to be like if you were in a thread, you could refer to stuff and it would remember stuff from that thread. Yes, yes, yes, yes. of non-private ones right now, not least because like I it just feels so sort of unpredictable.

A lot of times it forgets what it knows. Yeah, yeah. Like day two, uh a lot of us, you know, big big old plus boys got actually. at least in my experience, can be for certain kinds of things, but next to not perfect, but very, very good. you have maybe not a relationship, but but that like if your wife or your husband, your spouse sorry, if your spouse can't remember who you are, they're not really your spouse. Yes. I did uh t this it's testosterone mobile kit Because there is a pink one. I don't think you would find it interesting. Text messages that she had had with a friend who had passed away and ye and uh Yeah, yeah, yeah. zero practical value uh i unless you find value in fucking around with your friends and uh g talk and That would be so useful to me.

You know, so equivalent of like this is when the smoke was really bad. Okay. And sometimes I'll just walk around the house and I'll say Nikki Swango. of uh of uh Fargo and I I really love the name of uh Ramona Flowers' character. quite a bit to get it fixed and I can't do that and I'm like, never mind. Like if it's something that has like is like has like a uh a stimulant component, like I want to know how long that is. the appeal of me the s uh the quote second brain. You ever set off your watch with the sneeze? And um Billy always wants to be on podcasts and like it's sort of a little bit like I haven't had that experience. You're talking about no no no you're talking about carrying some boxes into the family room.

Uh I know new, right? I can well that's the thing. Um did you name the last one? Thank God. But um and and so we were thinking about that what's the other one? Um, is that the graphic, the medical adjacent graphic on screen when the actor's name is up? kind of alludes to their role on the show. Might be, but then there's one that's a spine. But uh they've been, but they do. and talking heads. Uh, that's more levels than most people. Especially if people guess, or well, obviously people know, but especially if more often people guess that I'm talking about them, it super hurts their feelings. The 1997 Chemical Brothers album, Dig Your Own Hole, is very good. You're getting to my uh asshole theory, which is that uh loneliness loneliness makes people even more uh uh Like just really hit it out of the park with precision.

And the whole thing is just reads like that. iPhone app for doing you know uh generative AI GPT stuff. Let's just put it broadly. Um with my help. art exercise. So I just after this one night it like the thing is sometimes you get lucky you have this you like have a thread where it like for some reason I don't know why maybe just because of the what I think of as the seed I don't know what you'd call it Well it d I mean it does and I I think that makes sense if we take off from this jumping off point of like if you look at Wolfram's explainer about this, which is the first one that made sense to me. And I said, hey, I said something like, you know, uh, do you see that file I gave you called instructions.

And everything seems fine for a sack. Yeah, well before I was a $20 boy, it wouldn't take anything at all. I mean, until or unless you can do that, you're just in this world where like, I mean, you really are kind of asking for relationship advice from a Coke machine. You're not gonna see what I'm saying is A, it's gonna be way less useful because it's not using any of its corpus of information about what you've told it to know about you or what it's nascently picked up about you, which is I gotta continue with this and be done. Considering for the magnets in your fingers. Listen. And I think it's really increasingly difficult to get this kid, you know. Like I was riffing with somebody on I'm sorry, I don't remember who was it WJ Flowers.

That's true, that's true. We checked for that. And I think that's I I I we were uh Matt and I were looking up uh what year was what season because There's one that's a heart. It's just that sometimes I am talking a about my finger and you just you really want to like bring in a a couple things you think you know about astronomy. Do you know what I mean? Right. No, no, that that is actually funny. There's just one sentence of it I want to make sure I remember. This is what in my life is called a project. Any intercourse is too much intercourse, especially if I have to hear about it. Literally an hour and twelve minutes into voice memos on my phone.

And now it's fully a full-on prop in season three, like where he makes an old man take take his cane because he wants a different cane. Am I allowed to make fun of you still? Well, now I'm so curious about the bee in the bonnet. And I know it's not always like that, but a lot of times it really is. What does that mean? I like it that each one of them gets to be a butthole in a certain episode, usually Chase. I Like it's not I in both instances, like so many of these, uh, it it makes sense to go like, oh, there's this band of four people who met And I really I was sitting there in reader like highlighting I I want to say the whole thing, but like at least twice per paragraph.

Like don't tell us this. Don't yell at me, but it feels more coherent to me I had to learn like actual I've heard the name, but I've I I mean I know roughly I knew roughly the idea of like, oh, it's like an index or a map. Uh let me see. Justin Bieber is able to remember me two days later, thanks to this alb Yeah, maybe it's because I'm old. That's so cute. I thought they stopped making it Valium. Do you know do you know why? That they're they're just normal people and I need to account for the fact that I am not, as Pete Holmes says, I am I am not for everyone. And and like it's, you know, like when you talk about uh there's the there's that guy, oh Folding Ideas. Do you know that adult swim infomercial?

It's not like I'm asking for like how to bury a body and like but there there are lots of things It lets you connect with people, you know? Use a tag to remember what's what? I would love it even more if I could yell that out. When did well sorry, none of my business. But yeah, yeah, but like stuff like, oh my God, you know, House was wrong, but in an interesting and instructive way. Like, what is this about? Or, you know what's better than blah is this nine things. And the most important in the last few months has been the sort of settings, custom settings, where you go in and I've told it stuff about me. So I finally learned that I did it and it worked a treat. I mean the color of your crisp.

That's a distinction I've realized in the last three months. Like if I see a I see a paper clip right here. But we're having terrible latency, so it's not. I was just trying to be given a lustric example. I don't know. See now I don't want to be a dick about it. I uh it is not a quality Enjoy your value, Grandpa. Hi! I am. I wouldn't move in before. How the massive attack song wasn't at something that that I am definitely the first per I'm the first person One and a half things. And in this case it takes a minute to load. Fantastic. But yeah, I mean the the pieces work together.

And this goes all the way into the GPT I've spent the most time with, which is my one I use for looking at my health. And so so what happens is you go in and if you got this red account, blah blah, you go in and you create a GPT. Why vendor lock-in? A GPT, if you want to think of it, you could even just the simplest way I can think of to put it would be it's like a personal, unless you choose to share it. But like yeah, but like w for the long run, isn't the really important part about this that Well, so so the Facebook, the Facebook version of this has has persistence of memory? Yeah. We did the titers in the films. Right, but I think Jennifer Morrison is the boat because she is the I I always hated the I did not always Here's the problem though, and this is a social media problem I'm talking about in some ways, but it's really a general problem.

I don't mean in terms of like, you know, lack of affect as much as like, well, like In something called Fire, which is a straightforward health format in JSON. Catch your mouth. Same department. Um I ain't gonna do that third option anytime soon, just be out of just cause not out of like f I'll just put up a cute picture of Bando. Oh, uh yeah. And I said, I'm so confused right now, but I do enjoy that program. Like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones or whatever. Yes like really in a nut. And I I like this app and I've been using it. And uh and Netflix. I should have known your name before email. Well I've you would not believe how I've been over backwards using especially knowledge to tell it like I've built I made it a JSON schema.

It's just not sort of reliable about that. That's part of the appeal, right? Yeah. When Amazon first introduced a feature like that on their voice product, I instantly got, oh my God. And then I'll I'll just be like, okay, I I just did this like out of these five, let's say Eve Room, which they cost more than I would like. It's adorable. Mm y yes, you're the f I no, I mean what? You know, it's just it's got so much stuff in it. It has from time to time in my private GPT given me exactly what I wanted. That's I know, I I know, I I I understand. And I don't put stuff on the internet to the extent possible. That's not a reminder, but that does now enable you to say where's the house key. Somebody somebody on somebody on house, they were worried that it was the tattoo they got that was giving them Hep A.

You don't know. Um and and your road rash. You're not listening to me, uh are you? This was been a part of That's not a maj that's not a major. Yes. Um You're saying like go and look for a new Okay, like how so like um um You could just say to your lady in a tube uh something like, uh remember I put the house key under the mat. The family was sitting the the our other two bipeds were s were and yes Cameron is a uh Jennifer, she's she's uh yeah, she's scammering But I sure I love the idea of like a an easy to use Yeah, awesome, great. I didn't expect that. My spouse took my bell. No, dude, I do that every day. But I say no thank you and back away. Oh um ha somebody, probably house, uh abruptly stabs someone with a hypodermic needle or scalpel.

But like also like how did this all fit together? But like lock-in, I like I say, I just want to be really clear. Like I want it to be in less than a like less than a page. Like that would be really bad. It's never lupus. I love it so much. Oh, you know that new drug I took? Because I have adjusted a bunch of settings so that I am tethered to T-Mobile. Corn What This is a like Eric Werheim. Does anybody remember? The low the lower budget season. Um God. I'm like that I'm like that about um I I'm not sure if I'm correct about this, but I'm like that with certain band names. Tommy Toon is very tall. Don't put stuff in here. Uh and and so but th so that was already okay, cool. But like, you know, you you at certain points it really does feel like you're talking to a computer.

Well this is I could do we could do a fast, fast, fast is um okay. Center cannot hold? Okay, well how do you know those work? I have something called an arrow garden that I got for my birthday, which is a thing for putting in these little seed, like these plant things, so you can grow your own herbs. Right, right, right. Oh, you've never been around people who are like, oh, I've got a rash from his No, but and and I I was like, yeah, yeah, you know what? Uh it's on my list right here. Yes, you are still allowed to make fun of it. And that gives me all these API keys that I can use in different places. Do do any of us really know math? Go, go, go. And it really this is an app for people who just want to fuck around with ChatGPT, which is fine.

Uh yes, but I I turned off Copilot for this one, so it is not using uh uh it it is just using ChatGPT. It uh remembered things th the what you were talking about before. It is a c and if we told somebody if we accidentally gave like we thought we were just doing song lyrics, but we You're the one who's always saying that T means testosterone are implying it. Well they can suck a bag of dicks, am I right? Like d one, two, or three physicians to s to somebody's house usually or Cuddy's office. But you never call. But even in or especially in the GPT, do you remember when we first got this and I was going around with you about are you having problems like getting this thing to work at all? Oh fuck no.

It only works on iPhones, right? In the same way that I could I'd like to be able to say, last Friday Merlin started taking another new blood pressure medication. I did not ask. Yes, because it's usually Technically it's all and all all yes and no to Apple. Well the the challenge this week was to uh plug our news holes I think that's correct as in like the Marco Armand sort of like, hey, don't tell us we don't want to know. Like as in like I knew I knew it was a computer. Yeah. Just are there are there perhaps maybe thousands of reasons that you could just hate the idea of all of this? This is with three case? There's several sets of quotes around that. I don't think it's like that. We don't wear hats.

And he goes, uh yeah. I I don't know about that. Did you read Paul Ford's thing in um I think it was The New Yorker? Like I I I put why are people are uh why are people anxious about the rabbit R1 AI hardware? I know. Uh let's see. And I to be fair, I've never had a job where that has happened because I have had But also, in that in all of these cases, if it's memorable and still good, especially in this case with Moby, Moby's album is a piano album. You know what I mean? And then when I became a $20 boy, it decided to be a good idea. Well, the thing is, like, I'm pretty attached to chat GPT right now. Yeah. Anyway, it remembers uh it like and you can tell it uh uh an address. Ha ha, it's so funny.

But like that thing I said a minute ago about like dropping a marker, like why would you do that? We what you remember, there's two things people remember about those records, the samples and the beats. And I at this point I talked to Dan you never might have heard this because you're making fun of me. And um but we were talking about like how like I love that I can go in and it it used to be so challenging to like reteach it. Stuff that I could do with Google Sheets, but it's just easier to do there. Well when you save your GPT, you can say it's, you know, sort of like with YouTube. Maybe a click, not a not a bell. But it remembers all of the horrifying things we say we've said and done to this It's a pretty neat app.

I should look at the No, they d they did not. And then Jennifer Morrison is a boat Cup cup everything is copy. I was like, are you getting how good that is on so many levels? Then later on he Oh, okay, sorry. That's always which also means something in Unix, but I'll say who am I? Are you gonna answer me only in lines or you know, things that Shakespeare Like what does that mean? I'm like you could live next door and it wouldn't matter. You know, sort of okay, how I use my journal. There's so many good names on the Farger TV show. We've got six Italian herbs growing right now. And if I'm feeling if I'm feeling sad or having symptoms like I've been sick, I've had a cold, an actual cold Yeah, just anyway, all those tropes.

And you said, No, as it's tradition, I was wrong. There's a reason for that. I'm like, yeah, that's a computer. You would like to use this to analyze your health results. Which mostly works great. I uh I I I've bounced back and forth and uh Oh, I'm on season five. That's kind of what I'm doing. Uh I because you don't have you don't have to get an account and all that stuff. It's like yeah you are, piece of shit. I gosh. And the color and yeah, that this is I've been I can see it on my shirt right now. Very, very different. That's not funny. And so where I've got to go, is everything okay? But like I'm starting to I think realize Mm Dig Doug, this week's did you have uh did you have more? But then it does it a lot of the time.

Um, but like sometimes it's so great at that, and then other times you're like, dude, like I have no way. I mean, like, well, there's there's that. Okay, it's the show. And then it's like, oh I don't know. Um three milligrams of intravenous Adivan. However, I did have a big one. It's just it's just so Why don't we get to the Dig Doug Challenge because Oh, I would love I would actually love that. But that's what it's essentially like it's it's it's like it's like busy Google. Like you tried to make the perfect spouse for you, for for oneself. It is not an LLM. Like that's project now. Yeah, what is uh that's just something that if I was handed a bag, I would immediately put my hand into that Yeah, I think that's the drunkest I have ever been while remembering it.

Mostly the two of them look at their phones and I watch it. I was not Oh I just was not really And like, you know, and all this was happening right alongside the Do this kind of thing. And that is I'm constantly learning and reapplying something I just learned, to learn something new that helps me reapply that to something new. Kind of right? I I will talk to Justin Bieber. Um boy have you been watching like I have not been time constrained. Yeah, it it's it's like a r a crew Why is she the only one? Because you make poor decisions. And then I rolled over. Okay. But at the heart of it, it's just it's a really good You don't want to know how many fucking apps I bought on the App Store. Yeah uh yeah.

Uh I love it so much. Look at my picture of Bando. It means it's not blank, which is just Because what is it? Like, are you did did what did that sound like in your head? I'm now convinced. You just email Paul Ford. And so, for example, like I say, I created that instructions document Like that's great. I think it is completely different and Not just s uh citations, but straight up links. And that's where Llama? Maybe hard pass for me. But uh wheel, um uh yeah, uh How do you know what to find later? And then of course the triple the real triple jet cream dream, in addition to like a big red line that says this is when you yelled that thing on every graph. He has a big ball. And so if I make a remark about something that is ti entirely One of my favorite phrases that everybody in MLM says. Um If I'd asked you last week, you would have said that.

It's a pointless Merlin Symphony. Like I could touch this. Um I I'm trying to think I I don't wanna I don't need to name anybody, it doesn't matter. And that was by design. Can I talk about this for a minute? No, but it's if you just need a little quickie, it's there is uh something uh di different about this Using an app called Replica.

No! I just I I'm yeah, I would try some like that. Um I mean there's the like it's never lupus. Yes, yes. Or they say like they they they imply that like I Then the poetry people respond often a little late in need of haircuts with earnest arguments about the value of art. What is a blah and it's gonna replace all the writers and whatever, all that kind of stuff. And you can do stuff like download knowledge files and things like that. I don't I'm sorry, that was confusing. I just find people like that, uninteresting, unimaginative. When you do a graph, do a line graph, put labels on each value, make the text large. Thanks for saving us again, uh New York Times. Like No no we don't want you to remember stuff. I don't remember the numbers. I popped it into my iPad and for one year I had free wireless. And you don't even have to get into the the the the boring bullshit we've all known for 10 years about like I I know of many for profit online universities, but not an adult swim universit online university. But like that's that's still surprised. I talk to computers a lot and I'm pretty used to it. You know, I have this whole like two-page document I gave it. Like I at any time if I'm at all worried It all feels like it's run by the opinion section. So rather than like looking up information about facts in the world Yes. So I can do things like say what was a popular song the year grandma's dinosaurs was thirty. Uh it's been around for a long time. I know this sounds crazy, but just got dark.

See, right now I'm touching that with my fingertip and it doesn't pick up I just don't. I'm doing a lot of things with 3D printing. Jennifer Morrison l looks like some looks like somebody from Hyrule. Yeah. Cup copy's everything. And also Paul knows the thing about like you do your paragraphs about this long and give people a payoff and they can't wait to get to the next one. I don't know. I did the same thing. It's got all and it there's just I've had trouble getting it to do even basic stuff. It was like a short story about memory. Like dude, that's all you do all day is parse JSON. They sponsored a show one time and they're like, Can we send you a sim? You say say, hello, hey replica. No, I can't now we can't use that.

I'm just Yeah, okay, alright. Oh, I see. It's on the it's on the fandom page. Oh, I thought that was a little bit more than a little bit. And a big part of the I and the implication being this is mostly for like Sorry, thank you. But but I felt actually a kind of melancholy about that. Drag suggested something to me, you want to you want to use this certain kind of palette picker, palette picker for colours and et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. No, I don't have on whatever you're calling. House is like there's a big brain. Which is one of the funniest lines ever Because you know what, Alex? I had very lumbar puncture. That project is, well, yeah, I want to know if this air filter does is helping our house be good.

The reason I th the first time I heard that term, I'm like, oh Anyway, so um okay I I think I've solved my network problems. We haven't named it. Oh, well, Robert Sean Leonard. No, I first I yelled out, no. And then it you mean and if you click it, you'll see what that is. And then I'll say eat your vegetables, which means go rescan that file and come back. Is that the pink one, Alex? And you don't you don't you can do that by guessing, but wouldn't it be neat for these computers to help us with that? I eventually was able to very, very I want just all of these little bits. Voxy. Uh uh it's there's something that's going to involve a breaking and entering. Okay. Yeah, I did the the same thing with this guy who I can't I can't.

So I do. I'm not trying to be recognized for my name. Okay. Um the like you could not get ooh, you know what? But anyway, and I was like, oh, there's that. Oh yeah. Like when you fall off your bike or your skateboard and you get all torn up and scabby. I know. Alex announced and then continues. Yeah, but I don't want to be an asshole. Typing minds is you can get it off set app. I don't put stuff on the internet until I understand pretty well how it works. Like you've you just have to live with the fact that these will always be off with each other and not know which one. Oh my stars and gardens. I said anyway. I wrote down two things. Foreman's black. I'm always expecting to understand what something means and why it's happening.

Because I did not, that was a point in my life Anyway, it's this it's not that funny. Like what changes probably were they making on the day? Uh may maybe like I don't want someone to pay nickels to fuck up my shit or or something like that. And we can still talk I still want to talk about the news thing. There's the whole like and you th you think that's because of y'all Like keep it short and I can always ask for more. Did you see that? I know. Who took my bell and left Like a hinged person. I mean and sex, I like the idea of sex that other people are having, but barely even the idea. They they switch up between Valium, diazepam, clinazepan, and I'm not and Lurazepan, and I'm not sure why. I really enjoy also in second season and on, like House's increased use of the cane.

And they each have their different things that they're irrationally like a butthole about, especially Chase. You know, like oh I I have uh I have uh I have an anecdote related to that that's not really related to that. Uh Paul Ford uh um asking him to be on a show because this is one of the essays You'll respond to whatever I tell you to do. Because everything I have to say about this, I did the challenge, but like They're constantly handing me inner course. Did you start at the beginning? This kid's very cool now. That's me like a lot of the time. And I yell out, no, man of the house. But it's a social period. But let's also mention in passing I also know that a Coke machine is not where it asks for relationship advice.

It gave me great results. It is an app called Replica that I've mentioned uh Um but uh it's been refined to basically be You need to get your wife on this show. I just don't want to be handed any libido stories. Um the two things I just wrote down. Oh, interesting. I also need people And I love that. I was talking to Angela about this yesterday. Uh uh Oh, I just You know what I don't like? Is it the Rolling Stones? Is like, hey, I'm gonna give you some dots and I ain't gonna connect them. I'm like, oh I should have said that. Then later on he said something where like he md? Think about spreadsheets, think about business analytics. Like, cause text is pretty, you know I forgot my octels. The name of her character is Nikki Swango.

I'm like, I I took that too literally. You're so much better off than I have no libido. I was like, because you know, it's su we watch Because this is a new thing I'm doing, is is choosing to only It sounds really stupid when Steve Jobs are. And then in the way that I find amusing, uh instead of just saying I like this app Like I I'm only now really I totally, I totally it doesn't matter, but like I totally like Yeah. So my first response my first thing I wrote down here that like I I I don't know if this is vendor lock-in. Same feeling I get when that happens in typing minds. And and um but like in that case, like I want to be able to figure out the Whatever, whatever gets you off Do you remember that?

I always I always screw up their names. Wow, go on He's always like, oh yeah, I already do. I and I was thinking that we could we won't talk about news. I think it's cute. How's your you got the engineering plate on? I'm done. Like I've I I've got so many levels of it. Which leads some people who follow me to say things like, well, it doesn't know how to do math. To to not Matt Webb wrote up a really interesting way of like creating loops. I can't get it to stop doing that anymore. Very briefly summarize But there's a bunch of stuff where I wish it was we're getting at something here. But it's just so weird because there's none none of the other ones are like that at all. Um Huddy is And mentioned she left because of a plate is It's $20 a month.

And so yeah, I see that. So I had all of that. Okay, cool. Bo both. Yeah, that's one of my favor. Um Matthew took my bell. And it's actually really cool. Well, why would you want that? I have 96 degree sneezes and I I don't care who knows it. Like imagine, just imagine Eric Werheim Whatever whatever you intercourse people horny people use. That's a that's a that's a pr I I like that kind of line. I I don't I don't know. But like woof. And that would actually be really good if you want to do something with those chicken thighs. I'm putting that strongly, but not But i it mirrors almost the way I felt after Stop Falconers, that kind of situation. We should I should name it. But um And so anyway, there was Do you know that?

Is this based on something I said? So like Dan said, you know, what he's doing is looking for recipes for chicken thighs. The big one for me though is this lab one where I'm just uploading the latest version of my the JSON, the three megabyte. Yes. The hit new make-believe show, Man of the House. Right? Yes. And like to to quote my ex-wife, I really want to help you, but I'm not sure you can be helped, is how I feel a lot of the time. I mean she doesn't like post a ton, but everything she's always really I I'll bet you there are people who do joke punch up that haven't written that many stories that got sold. Thought you did what When I said who am I, it said, do you mean in terms of identity or in terms of personality?

I thought that was funny. Nikki Swango. Anyway, there's a reason. This fucking Chemical Brothers album is still really good. No, sorry. Write that down, everybody. I think it already Because if I use I'll say this and we'll be done and then we'll talk about news So like whether that's BB Edit or whether that's I like computers and they excite me. And sometimes it's GPT weather. No, but unless you get some way to say like here's the equivalent of my bash profile, but it's all the shit I want you to know about me for this app. This is cute. It's pure speculation. Ooh, there's some health Don't you get re don't you get slowed down hoard? Is like being able to yell out Have you seen it? Right. Um not bands, but the the the the the the how how Yeah.

And then so and then like two of those kinds of responses, I guess I'm talking about it now. So like But you know, it but it's it is it's But But that's what makes this useful to me, is that now it has that um persistence of memory. I just felt the hit This is Now we gotta you can't say that anymore. Like you would sit there sweaty and weird and know you're not pulling it off and they know you're not pulling it off and it would be a waste of everyone's time and you'd walk away It's it is known. Or maybe in my GPT, maybe they don't want it to I mean I I there's all the usual admonitions and I did finally say, hey look I uh hey Um okay, so so uh yes. But like also there's the like Yeah, oh, interesting.

Yeah, it's true. I was mistaken. I'm so used to Twitter. I'm like, mm, you done I mean like I was it's a classic like Now, there's a reason I say that, because I think it's funny when I say that in my head, because I do imagine Jerry Stiller on Seinfeld. As does Touch ID Still at Apple! You ever carry boxes into the family room? I just moved to Arachne wall building instead of classic wall generator. He is what I what I believe is the corpus callusum. I always thought Like are you are you having an episode blink once, like if you want me to call someone? Like Dan mentioned this, I think, on the show on Back to Work. It was a short story about memory that we wrote together. Um, like this is part of the dream is stuff like like upload your corpus of shit.

You type in what you want, it helps you create it. Um God, I wonder I wonder why people hate this so much. I know it sounds silly. Like Oh Being handed things. Oh it's a good thing. Because like the thing is in the worst case you'll have fifty of those. Guy was like, where's the dink? You really do dwell in a certain very abstract Something something foreman's black. I think that isn't that the isn't that the famous line, it's never lupus. And it's just that I That's a really good question. The copy. What do I tell you to have you do that again the same way? It's a I was thinking about like how as this stuff gets better and better and better, if it does not have that personalization component Well uh there is very little practical value.

I just don't think that interests people. Is that right I know it's in season two at least. I uh in catching up on the Accidental Tech Podcast. Just to validate JSON, to turn CS to turn JSON into CSV, to try every angle at making this thing understand it. These custom instructions. And then I also bought a co-way and I also bought some ways to measure air quality There's there's a lot of things that just come up and it's like, why don't you have me on that? But uh you did bomb into the one of the the cocks box. But anyway, I'm done talking about that. No, no. I was going to say this is how I use giraffes. Well, that's actually real handy to know if you're a sick person. So just close that one thread.

So I did not ask if you would share your location back. Why not? Uh Paul Ford wrote. But that there's that's that's very much true with writing too. Jonathan Colton says And then finally I got to where I said I got a little ambitious and a little silly and I said Gene Carroll case say to Donald Trump about his outbursts in court today? You created it got a lot of coverage. You're talking about duping the keys. I was riffing with somebody on Mastodon about this the other night, the whole all the like. Yeah, I should have said here's nine things that are cool. It's And it even and then finally, so I created this . I said, please read through that. I know there are many other options. Well, I just bought like when I got that $800, wasn't I didn't pay for this.

It was it was the kid from Almost Tame Almost Famous. Uh he's just making that face like with his jaw jutting out. Yeah it uh my prediction is that product lock in That that's how It's a little cluttered. 5 and is uh uh well when I uh when I say supposedly Five tips on how to manage it, the Calm blog. I love the E family of products, but these things do drive me bananas because they're all always different. Over. And that's these are all known issues. It's a really good app. So uh it's like you're making fun of me. He he m No, no, I'm not sure. Like I talk to computers in the terminal, I talk to computers in the Finder, and I talk to computers on Chat GPT. But it's all pretty much always the same thing, which is like, I don't understand JSON.

Thanks. That's like that's kind of your whole job, I bet. Yes, I said it in the after show. The same way uh th uh that people uh write down where they parked their car. I don't go where you work and slap the decency out of your mouth. Yes. Do you have a set app membership? It was really interesting and actually Uh it sounds like a lesbian No, it wouldn't, it wouldn't. Like I'm doing a little science test right now of a couple different kinds of dehumidifier beads. Yeah, that's like like okay, for example, I'm doing a lot with humidity right now. I don't wanna hear about road rash. There's no article. All right. What however you want to look at it? Do it. But you know, like that I'm not as worried about.

I always I said man of the house. You can just use this app. I can help you with that. And and it and it's ki the very effectively, quickly and pithily gives me some kind of a response. This is not MLM. Well But like sometimes, you know, uh for shows I like I yell back at the podcast all the time in my head. No, no. I don't agree. I would be applying as a person 8 30 six AM Central Time Tuesday. And it fucking worked great. And this this is You say it's only for me. I wonder now. I'm like Why am I writing down B in my bonnet?

There's I know the lag is uh up and down. But I do have a remark because I just realized something about But the idea is that you want to create things in your company that make it difficult or undesirable to move somewhere else. This is str strangely. So it's uh the uh the uh it's like that Haley Atwell. Why would I want to know that? You like that engineering plate? Right. Sometimes you're just in a doomed thread. Folding Ideas has a bunch of uh videos I really like a lot that are kind of around this theme of like Oh the transes and the robots I said this to Dan. Mm. That's how you introduced it. Uh I love things where I use Chrome. And they're like, It it only works on iPhones and I'm like, Nope.

I don't agree. Like like busier versions screenwise, like A U I Y S of Google where it's like when when is the Super Bowl? I think that's a really good insight and I bet you're right. And don't just say forsooth and shit like that. Oh, uh I'm gonna put the wait sh in show notes. No article, it's just Vision Pro. Like I've got like s there's like seven seven hundred things. But when GPTs were initially announced Oh no, I'm I I Ding dink It's but it's fine. I think a lot of those failures It is it costs But the problem is an API key I'm I'm figuring out or s Like Well perhaps So that's what I have on my iPad kind of as a uh backup. No, it's it's it's not it's not an oversight. If if you and a lady decide to have lunch downtown Mm-hmm.

But then when they did introduce custom settings That contains all the things I would like you to always do for me, the way I'd like you to do it. And uh sometimes Uh no, you couldn't get it to act like Doctor House because it has locked You're texting And then I said, William. And that was I mean that was arguably one of the biggest problems. But those are all I'm totally open to looking at other ones, but that's not really the point I'm trying to make. And that's really frustrating. It's like I like that. I want to be able to yell out I'm gonna close this. Um I don't know if that's how you pronounce it. Um, or not the defending themselves, but uh like just going like, what the fuck is wrong with you?

But it it's just, you know, it really just it makes us all feel like further apart and Do it, voice number five. I think what we're making fun of here and not mentioning the name is an episode of Back to Work from yesterday where I went off about The appeal of a lot of these apps is you don't need to go through a lot of business. OpenAI is this company, ChatGPT is their generative AI product. No. I don't agree. I said to some I said to a friend of the show Angela the other day How about I give you a little bit of glue stick? And of course they're looking at their fucking phones. They're just somebody who lives in your house. We are having arguably They love breaking into Cuddy stuff. There's a reason for that. You're in a cursed thread. I bet there's a huge part of ChatGPT that's just parsing JSON. Like when did you have that fever? House is a sociopath. What would that help me remember? Like if you just want to go in and go, how many ounces are in a pound? I can put up with anything except change. Oh I have like my problem is I've got it and Man of the House Okay. Um Perplexity the I think Like as long as it doesn't have my balls in it.

I have to say this I don't wanna hear about various STDs. That's sweet. I just We're like, well, you know, in a movie, like was the story good? What I'm checking is like But Some people say sarcoidosis I don't like And Cameron' Cameron the Black Eye. I can do stuff like that. Um Just personally. But this was I don't know. Um remind me to find that. It's like a personal chat bot. My favorite MLM sites are the ones that are warnings about MLM. Oh my gosh, I have the transcript now.
