In the past, over the past two years, I will sometimes respond in a way that is admittedly very emotional because I think that is my way in. into your morgolons or whatever, your morgellons. It's just that maybe that's something I read in this magazine, so that magazine or whatever, but look I'm not immune to that.

the things that were like ideas, like sort of thought technologies that changed the way I think about things. affiliation. uh blah blah blah three tribes reduce the ability to challenge ideas uh four tribes are self-interested as people but tribes are everywhere right you got countries you got states you got parties all this stuff So um can I this is a little bit of a reading series. People are drawn to tribes because there's comfort in that. Structuralists and postmodernists spent a lot of time, you know, talking about this stuff. Think about the way. telling stories. Um, because I like it. Come we're doing a lot of stuff with computers right now. who develop for Apple who are like, no, no, no, like this 30% cut n is now getting ridiculous.

And but they are essentially making songs and m music videos about um murdering uh one another and uh it is being glorified by a a very lar not not just a large um you know, the typical large uh record media companies, but a whole um industry of If I go to conservative rallies with uh pretty curly hair, I uh don't get a lot of people talk to me because they think I'm a globalist.

they decided that when he started in interviewing people who were uh a lot more sincere and not just like drunken Florida boys, they're like, mm, we don't need to we don't really want to pay for this and like by A24 and uh Tim Heidegger. Not just capitalism is bad, but like there are people in the art scene that uh really suck ass. It it's uh yeah, but it it ages us. got really frustrated because the media narrative was, oh, everything is peaceful. And uh no, there th uh yeah, a lot of it was, but there were a lot of r riots and instead like no one like uh CNN and MSNBC didn't stay overnight really wide shot where they're on a bridge and you see like Minneapolis in the distance. it it just is going up to literally but both sides uh to the the Proud Boys and to um Antifa folks and just being asking very There's like there's a way that some people are, and I guess that sounds so obvious to say, but I think it's really true.

uh weird media company that was like, yeah, you're going uh viral with your content, cool. uh basically fired his crew. blew up how shitty it it was one of those uh companies that like produced uh the Fry uh Fire Festival doc documentaries and just Shady, but you know, when you're twenty-one, you'll sign any contract if someone's gonna pay you thirty thousand dollars a year, you know. Yeah yeah, yeah, basically. But unlike a lot of the like TikTok comedians, uh he doesn't do the like a thing I hate that's the snide, like, well, actually, what are you talking about? He went to Minneapolis to uh film the the riots and uh like a lot of other pro progressives like the crowd is this I don't know I'm really over my skis here. Pretty easy to be scared of of crowds in general, even if you don't know the people. frustrates me a bit. people like a tr dressed in full on Antifa garb because they're somewhat r rightfully suspect of uh I am just asking asking the question type things, but letting people talk where uh yes, they might end up sounding like dinglings, but eventually if you it Here's my actual emotion. And the I he he uh the um Andrew Callahan and Co. things I've ever heard. off of all of these folks who were uh um you know the people storming the capital as well as the folks who w wished they had been there to quote stor storm the capital. This is I I think you're gonna be surprised in saying that this is a documentary that is not for me, really, because it's kind of I mean it it reminded me more than anything, it reminded me of the woman who used to lip sync to Trump.

I mean th the the whole like thesis of of the movie is um m media manipulation bad, which is a really simple message unless It really the I I think they're I think I'm going to send you some clips that really highlight sort of the projection a lot of these people have when it comes to Q and especially pedophiles because the amount of folks who were into Q so weird how that is shh that that that ends up that seems like that's where so many things Hollywood, everything, c um conspiracy to conceal the at the very least the influence of are are too far gone. Policies and uh uh you know it it it's a lot of people. What what people said about that, and people continue to say in similar ways today, I think this is the canonical example, it takes somebody from another country to really write cogently. fairly hegemonic in the sense that like you don't even probably know how many tribes you're in. Because it's that ability to say stuff like, Well, you know what I mean. And which I think is fair to say, but also that that cultural DNA suffuses the way we process information in the world in ways that are incredibly dramatic and often very difficult to like. Yep. I uh like we have friends who are fairly influential uh f folks who when they talk about and critique business practices And I was like, huh, yeah, I guess so.

um find something different to do, but in that instance I do sometimes think about the no good can come of it. like opine about the significance of the things that made his YouTube channel popular while he sits in a director's chair. Yeah, it's um the uh I I am going to force you to watch I I don't know how that was that was forceful for um a scene with No, no. Yeah, no, that that's fairly uh. stuck watching it on TBS. junk food just because it tastes good. The problem is that like it it's almost like you're trying to you're like Venzini, like trying to become immune to a poison by eating it. The constant constant beatings and beratements and the the the the the the slathering of the shame. you're like 13 and all you watch is TikTok. are pretty much afraid of you for m the same reason you are afraid of them. like um elite child molester thing? uh the values of the country that you know people have mostly agreed on, plus or minus over the years, whatever. to alternate between here's a thing that every that is happening and everybody should know about versus here are things that are unknowable but they seem truthful. Which is like, well, I just feel very strongly about this because, you know, I can't argue. um basis or a different point of view. I mean they're old examples, but they're not irrelevant.
